LGBT Youth Mental Health Workshop

LGBT Youth Mental Health is a 1-day interactive workshop, taking place in the St Andrews resource centre on Sept 21st, which focuses on providing The Talk About Youth team and other projects with a deeper understanding of mental health factors that can impact on LGBT+ young people. This workshop is designed for those who work or volunteer with young people (aged 12-25 years) in their schools, organisations and community clubs and groups and who are likely to come into contact with LGBT young people

Participants will:
- · Have a greater understanding of mental health and the factors that influence its development
- · Understanding of LGBT+ youth mental health research
- · Have greater knowledge of the key issues impacting on the mental health and wellbeing of LGBT+ young people
- · Have a greater awareness about LGBT+ terminology
- · Be introduced to the area of 'one good adult'
- · Be introduced to creating a more LGBT+ inclusive service
