Active Youth: Minds and Motion,
One of our most recent International Exchanges, took place in Split, Croatia.
Young people from our St Andrews Resource Centres youth project aged between 15 and 17 years linked up with other youth projects from Croatia and Norway. Adventure education, cultural diversity and active citizenship were among the many themes explored.
It was the third leg of three, the first in Norway, the second in Dublin, and the last leg in Split, Croatia.
This exchange has proved so successful that the three countries have all asked to continue with another three groups of teenagers in 2020.
YES – Young Europeans Speak (18yrs+)
Talk about youth project was privileged to partake in a European programme in Portugal. We worked with five European countries to look at ways to create discussion between young people and how to encourage active participation in society.
"YES - Young European speaks" not only motivated young people to participate actively in society, but also give them the tools to do so in an assertive and clear way.. Young people identified issues and concerns that impacted on them and others and came together to find solutions.
Throughout the youth exchange young people learned new skills, gained new friendships and were given an opportunity and tools to awaken their critical spirit. Returning from the Youth Exchange the young people want to educate and inspire others so if you are interested in finding out more please get in contact.
